As the Sales & Marketing
Manager for this company, I
oversaw the design, production,
content development,
promotion, and maintenance of
these two new e-commerce
websites.

Results: Sales growth over 40%!
For years, the number of members
and dollars raised by this group of
elite individual donors had remained
unchanged. My challenge was to
create a sales message that could
stand alone or be used in
conjunction with a personal visit
and solicitation.

Results: a 25% increase in
membership and a 46% increase in
gifts.
This awards event was celebrating
its 15th anniversary. I wanted to
break the sales record of money
raised through tribute
advertisements in the event
program. My approach was two-fold:
to improve the quality of the design
to make it more appealing, and to
craft a truly effective appeal.

six years later, people still talk
about how the beautiful materials
elevated the look and feel of the
entire event.

examination of keywords, creativity
and no fear of small spaces ~ this is

This is a copy test I completed in
seeking a staff position with a large,
publicly traded catalog retailer.

Results: Invitation to fly me out for
a final interview. But I couldn't
move my family, so I withdrew.
This fantastic product line had been
gathering dust on the shelves. Why?
There was no information about
what the products were for. I
researched the ingredients,
extrapolated the data most
pertinent to the company's
customers, and wrote informative,
new product descriptions.

Results: These items are in such
demand that the distributor can't
keep them stocked well enough!
I researched the products,
identified their unique value to this
distributor's market, and
communicated that value message
to the customers.

Results: An informative, useful
newsletter that reinforced the
company's reputation as a trusted
supplier to its core market.
